Additional Information: The reverse of the picture bears the inscription: Kenneth Donald John Campbell/b. 27th June 1831, died 12th July 1856/son of Major Kenneth Campbell. He died of exposure to the sun at the village of Bezars thirty miles from Shahpore in the Punjab, being at the time on his way to take up an appointment at Bannu, having left his Regiment the 29th Native Infantry at Jollundur in the Punjab. He was buried at Shahpore.
