Additional Information: John Turmeau (1777-1846) was educated in Putney and studied at the Royal Academy Schools. He moved to Liverpool by 1799 and was elected a Founder of the Liverpool Art Gallery, was President from 1812-14 and then Treasurer until 1833. Exhibited: Royal Academy 1793-1796 Represented: Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, Usher Museum, Lincoln.
